Orange House

Ongoing addition and transformation of existing garage into a 3 story house, guest house, rooftop and garden. Built with massive brick walls without insulation, the house uses passive techniques to cool and heat itself in an area where temperatures can rise well over 40 degrees in summer. An interior courtyard in the core of the house allows upward air breeze and natural daylight intake in the 14m deep house. Solar panels power the electricity and water cooling/heating system inside help in extreme weather situations.

All house details are solved using only rendered bricks, coloured concrete and oak throughout the entire project.
